How do I know whether I am in love with my best friend or if it is just an infatuation? These guidelines will help you to judge your feelings, and make the best of your relationship.
If you are in love with your best friend and if you express your feelings to him/her, there are two outcomes that you will most likely face. First is that he/she will say that he feels the same (this is what you want to hear) and the second is that he might tell you that he/she does not have the same feelings for you.
If by any chance latter comes true, there is a possibility that you might lose the friendship that you share with him/her. Are you prepared to take this risk?
The ideal relationship advice to deal with such a situation will be to give yourself some time to ponder over the whole situation before making any move. Take your time in knowing whether your feelings are genuine or an infatuation.
If you are confused and thinking whether you are in love, then here are some signs which will help you to figure out your feelings.

Signs of Love

The first thing that you need to find out is whether it is just a physical attraction that you have developed or is it something deeper?
If you genuinely care for your best friend's well-being, you go out of the way to make him/her happy, and if you feel that you would do anything to see a smile on their face, then you are most likely in love.
When you fall for someone, the other person is always on your mind. Thinking about the moments you two spend together invariably brings a smile to your face. You remember his/her likes, dislikes, whims, etc.
When you go out, you make plans keeping the other person's interests in mind. If you feel you are doing the same, it is one of the signs that you are falling for your best friend.
It is often seen that people who are in love want to look their best, especially when they meet the person they are falling for. Have you recently felt a change in the way you dress? Do you spend hours in front of the mirror or a beauty parlor to look beautiful and well-groomed? If you do, you could be falling in love.
When we are in love with somebody, we trust that person completely. In our heart we know that no matter what, this person will not break our trust at any point of time. Do you trust your best friend?
