Planning the first date is a daunting task for many. It raises several questions about decorum and discipline, all of which lead to some serious confusion. Here is some useful advice to make your first date a prelude to many others that will follow.

The first date has to be the most perfect one. It is the groundwork you lay for the dates to come and the time that you would be spending together. The time spent on this date is used by the women to draw conclusions about whether to see you again or no.

Also, it's the first and probably the first chance you get to make her go weak in her knees and fall head over heels for you. So, for the perfection of this fairy tale date, you will need some accurate planning. And since you are new to the dating scene, you are going to need some serious advice too.

To state it simply, the starting point of a date is the place where you will want to pick her up from or meet her at. If you are the guy then you will have to pick up the lady from the given location (her place, office or wherever). Women appreciate chivalry and the effort made. Book a table in advance (in the day), so that you don't have to wait in the line when you get there. Reserving a table will actually make the date interesting as the time passes by, over some fine wine and delectable food.

Not always. She may not like what you do and vice versa. Order a meal that suits your taste buds and not anyone else's.

If you can't handle spice, but your date wants to gorge on spicy food, explain your problem. There's always a middle path to every problem. There is no point in feeling uncomfortable all evening, by eating something that's too much to handle.

Restrict the consumption of alcohol. Since you are going out for the first time and you are unaware of your date's drinking capacity, stop at one drink. Since you have to drive back, avoid drinking beyond your capacity.

Woman, please stop wearing the 'I am so shy look'. It doesn't work and it spoils the fun too. A common first dating advice, use conversation starters to begin with. Think of things to talk about on the first date, and get to know each others likes and dislikes. If a person is unwilling to give out information, don't press too hard.
